HST. Oh good, it’s not everywhere!
Just incase you were starting to get used to the fact that we pay more for things like gas and cigarettes (but, you don’t smoke because you know it will make you cool kill you) due to HST, here is a list of things that it is NOT getting charged on. A few things to make special note of as students are:
Tutoring and Tuition Fees
Residential rents
Basic groceries
Municipal public transit
Health and education services
Child care
Music lessons
Prescription drugs

The list is also available as a download as a free mobile application. But HST is charged on internet services now too so it will cost your more to do that then it would of before.
